Whether you are looking for a centerpiece for your dinner table or a gift to bring over to a family member’s home, though, you can’t go wrong with flowers at Thanksgiving. At Ode à la Rose, our flower centerpieces and dinner table arrangements include festive rose bouquets. Opt for an autumnal hue with our gold roses, or add a splash of color to the table with one of our mixed bouquets.

If you are thinking about sending a rose arrangement to a friend or family member this holiday season, but you’re not sure what to send, talk to us at Ode à la Rose. We are happy to point you in the right direction and help you find the perfect arrangement of Thanksgiving flowers.

FAQ about our Thanksgiving Flowers

What is Thanksgiving?

Thanksgiving in the United States is a commemoration of a 1621 feast that took place in Plymouth, Massachusetts. The feast lasted for three days and brought together 53 Pilgrims and 90 Native Americans. It was meant as a harvest festival, to mark the first harvest since the Pilgrims had arrived in the New World and to thank God for delivering a bountiful harvest.

Today, Thanksgiving in the U.S. has lost much of its religious connotation. However, it is still a holiday that brings together large groups of people (usually family and friends) to share a feast and give thanks for the good things in their lives.

When is Thanksgiving?

Each year in the United States, Thanksgiving is observed on the fourth Thursday of November. In 2017, Thanksgiving will fall on November 23rd. Other future Thanksgiving dates include November 22nd (2018), the 28th (2019), and the 26th (2020).

What type of flower arrangement should I send to celebrate Thanksgiving?

There is no “traditional Thanksgiving flower,” so you can feel free to get creative here. Sending a rose arrangement is always a safe bet, particularly in autumnal colors like gold or yellow.
