This Mother’s Day, we wanted to offer something a little unexpected, something that goes beyond the usual bouquet and brings an extra layer of care. So we partnered with New York illustrator Moomooi to create a limited-edition gift set, available exclusively through Ode à la Rose.
Together, we’ve designed two beautifully crafted pieces: a hand-illustrated vegan leather pouch and a matching greeting card. Thoughtful, delicate, and full of charm, this set is designed to complement our seasonal bouquets and offer a keepsake that lasts long after the flowers fade.
Why Is This Collaboration So Important to Us?
We’re always looking for ways to make our gifts feel more personal and intentional. Partnering with Moomooi allowed us to do just that – through her art, we’ve added a tactile, visual layer to our florals, something that tells a story all its own.
Moomooi’s work resonates with us because it shares the same spirit we bring to our arrangements: artistry, quiet elegance, a love of detail, and the belief that even the smallest gesture can hold deep meaning. This collaboration celebrates creativity, softness, and the kind of beauty that doesn’t shout but lingers.
We didn’t just want to design a product – we wanted to create a feeling.
The Pouch
Crafted in the U.S. from soft, textured vegan leather, the limited-edition pouch features one of Moomooi’s signature illustrations: a stylish Parisian woman walking her two small dogs, her skirt created from a single real rose. The lines are playful yet refined, and the color palette – crisp black, white, and red – feels quietly bold.
It’s the kind of piece that doesn’t just hold things – it holds meaning. It can carry handwritten notes, favorite pens, and tiny treasures. Whether it’s tucked into a tote bag or left on a nightstand, it adds a little beauty to the everyday.
- Size: 8.5 x 5.5 inches
- Material: Textured vegan leather
- Made in the USA

The Greeting Card
Paired with the pouch is an exclusive Mother’s Day card, also hand-illustrated by Moomooi. The drawing captures a quiet moment between mother and child, soft lines, tender posture, a story told in stillness.
The card is blank inside, ready for your own message. It is a place to say what matters most, in your own words. Whether it holds a few heartfelt lines or a full page of gratitude, it completes the gift in the most personal way.
Together, the pouch and card form a keepsake set designed to elevate your bouquet – and be held onto, long after the blooms are gone.

About Moomooi
Moomooi is a New York-based brand by Meredith Wing, an illustrator best known for her fashion-inspired sketches and whimsical compositions. Her work often features unexpected materials, real flowers, fruits, and leaves, woven into the linework, bringing each drawing to life with texture and surprise.
There’s a simplicity to her style, but also a quiet sophistication. It feels light, yet considered. Fresh, yet timeless.
We’ve admired her work for a long time, not just for its beauty, but for the way it honors femininity, creativity, and the art of paying attention.

Can you present yourself briefly?
My name is Meredith Wing, and I am a mixed-media fashion artist better known as @moomooi on Instagram. I have gained a loyal following over the past decade for layering three-dimensional materials like flowers and food on top of drawings to create dynamic fashion collages. I am lucky enough to have collaborated with global fashion and beauty brands, graced the pages of international publications, placed artwork on billboards and building walls, created characters for TV commercials, and more.
What is your favorite flower?
Peonies or ranunculus.
How did you come up with the idea for this floral illustration?
I went to architecture school at Columbia University only to discover that what I really loved about the discipline was the graphic representation. I had always worked or interned in fashion houses throughout college at Barnard, and while living in Paris after graduating. The natural experimentation with drawing and materials came while in graduate school; around 2013, my now husband, Mike, placed a piece of gum as a “purse” on a drawing I was creating during an airport layover. It got a little attention on Instagram as the platform was taking off, I started iterating on different versions of this type of collage, and before I knew it, Soho House was asking me to go to Coachella with them, and images were going viral on Pinterest… I haven’t looked back since.

What are the challenges of mixing real flowers with drawing? If any…
Since I work with cut stems that still retain water, the petals can stain the paper and leave behind color or water marks. Some flowers wilt quicker than others, making my time window to capture the image shorter. Real fresh flowers also don’t last, of course, so the work itself is ephemeral, lasting only in the captured photo and memory.
When did you start MooMooi?
After gaining some traction with the work via Instagram in 2013 or so, I decided to see how far I could take this idea and what sort of services I could offer with such a niche product. Live illustrations that have become a performance art, licensed work, and original marketing assets have become the core of my offerings. My husband and I moved to Australia after getting married in 2015, and I decided to see how far I could take it there, as it seemed like an appropriately far-off place to experiment. I have never looked back.
How has motherhood influenced your work?
How I work has become different; I produce more efficiently because my hours are more precious and my windows are more clear-cut. The content has also been affected – portraits of mothers and children are now all the more special and top of mind for me. I appreciate portraying this special bond in artwork and am thoughtful about the symbolism of florals in messages of growth.
If you could create a bouquet inspired by a song or a movie, what would it be?
I would create a loose and sunny bouquet of wildflowers based on Van Morrison’s song “Days Like This” because it reminds me of summers with my family, when we collected little pieces of nature as we went.
Why This Makes the Perfect Mother’s Day Gift
Mother’s Day isn’t about big gestures. It’s more about meaningful ones. A gift that says, “I see you,” “I love you,” or simply, “thank you.”
This limited-edition set does all of that. With every detail, from the softness of the pouch to the lines of the illustration, it’s designed to feel personal. A reminder that beauty can be quiet, and love can be shown in small, lasting ways.
It’s a thoughtful alternative to the usual gift ideas. And because it’s available in limited quantities, it feels even more special, like a moment that won’t come around twice.
