Top of the Hub

Located at the top of the Prudential Tower, Top of the Hub is a breathtaking option for your special occasion. Their award-winning menu includes filet mignon and lobster dishes, but the views are the real focal point of this restaurant. Be sure to make a reservation for a table by the window to fully enjoy panoramic views of Boston’s Back Bay.

Harvest has been serving delighted clientele at their Harvard Square location for the past forty years. Their New England charm and focus on regional ingredients make this date night spot special without being stuffy. Bring your dinner to the next level by sitting in their outdoor Garden Terrace where you’ll be surrounded by flowers and a crackling fireplace.

Cambridge favorite, Bondir, is quintessential romance, blending a warm and cozy atmosphere with phenomenal dishes. Both décor and service are lauded to be warm and inviting, so you’ll feel right at home. Their farm-to-table five-course dinner hits all the right notes, and you’ll end the night with their playful Beeswax Snowcone, made with muskmelon and honeycomb.

Add some variety to your evening meal at Oleana, another Cambridge hotspot which serves Turkish and Eastern Mediterranean fares. Dine on Trout Spanakopita, Duck Shish, or Lamb Siniya alongside a bottle from the restaurant’s extensive wine list. A truly romantic summer evening can be spent dining on Oleana’s patio, complete with herb garden and fig trees.

Max Brenner

Max Brenner has great dinner choices, but everyone knows that the desserts are the true highlight. If a box of chocolates is a standard romantic gesture, taking your date to Max Brenner is over-the-moon romance. Choose from crepes, shakes, tiramisu, s’mores, chocolate fondue… really anything your heart may desire. Don’t plan for any high-energy date activities following dinner, as you will undoubtedly be leaving in a food coma.

Dress to impress at Sorellina, a top-of-the-line Italian joint in Copley Square. The restaurant offers seasonal classic and contemporary Italian dishes such as Lobster Gnocchi (a crowd favorite) or perfectly cooked Polpo, accompanied by an enviable wine list. Sorellina is sure to wow so keep it in mind for a big anniversary or an especially romantic Valentine’s Day.

Meritage is well-known for its wine and food pairings, thanks to their “Vineyard-To-Table” approach. Chef Daniel Bruce was the Founder of the Boston Wine Festival, and his passion for creating dishes that take inspiration from wine characteristics is how Meritage came to be. Good food and a perfect bottle of wine is already a recipe for romance – add in gorgeous views of the neighboring Boston harbor, and you have a night that can’t be beat.

Giulia was named Boston’s Most Romantic Restaurant of 2016, so we would be hard-pressed not to include it in our list. This Italian spot is charming without any pretension, elevating your date night with their freshly made pasta, brick walls, and soothing ambience. It would be the perfect place to reenact that Lady and the Tramp moment with your date – that is, if you’re actually willing to share your dish.

We may be biased, but you really can’t beat a French restaurant if a romantic dinner is your goal. Chandeliers are visible before you even walk in, as you peek through the building’s floor-to-ceiling windows. From the inside looking out, there are views of the surrounding brownstones that line the streets of Commonwealth and Massachusetts Avenue (the intersection of which gives the restaurant its name). The food is unbeatable, led by Executive Chef Adrienne Mosier who crafts modern, delectable French dishes you simply can’t miss out on.

No matter which restaurant you choose, don’t forget a simple way to make the evening even more romantic: order a bouquet of flowers delivered to the restaurant, and have them waiting at the table when you arrive. Our red roses are perfect for whatever the night has in store for you.
